Ask if the sitter has experience in caring for children around your child’s age range.
Ask what would be their response if the child starts crying or refuses to go to bed.
Ask the sitter if they have first aid and CPR training (if that is a major requirement for you).
Ask what they will charge to watch your child. Hint: Stay within your budget but do not low ball your sitter since they will be taking care of your child. You only want the best for your child. If you pay well, most likely they will watch your child again when you need a sitter.
